          After reading this, I'm definitely growing mooli next year I love reading your recipes Hobbit and Shobhna - I love curries but have not really ventured very far in terms of cooking them myself. I'm well experienced in the take aways though LOL

              BTW.. the Shinding went very well.
              Sweet corn curry
              Chick pea and potatoe curry
              Chillie Paneer
              cabbage and carrot coleslaw (injun style)
              Spicy rice cooked in coconut milk with baby potatoes stuffed with garlic chutney. Yum !!
              Samosas and chutney
              Naan breads.

              Right Shobhna,
              I've just had (well Wednesday) Diwali meal from my Sikh neighbours, vegetable curry, meat curry, fish curry, along with various breads and sweets, gulab jamon and more, and as always the food was fantastic, so how about you posting some recipes on this thread because I can never get the family secrets out of them
