All I do is buy the cheapo no frills peanuts, bung in wizzer, wizz, add a little sunflower but preferably groundnut oil, slowly until correct consistency. If you like crunchy crush up some peanuts on the side and stir in....
Nuts tend to make peanut butter better if they're roasted. I just throw some roasted nuts into the blender and press go, add a little bit of sea salt in there too, don't add any extra oil but I think it depends on your food processor if you can get away with that or not.
I used to make my own when my children were young. Raw peanuts from the health food shop, toasted or roasted and the skins removed(I used to put mine, still warm in an old tea towel and rumble them about) then into a food whizzer with a tiny bit of veg. oil and a pinch or so of salt. Length of time whizzing depends on whether you like crunchy or smooth.
You can use any other nuts too. Hazel,Brazil, Walnuts or seeds such as sunflower etc.
Nooooooooo! Stoooooopppp! I'm not allowed Peanut Butter and I absolutely LOOOOVE it. It has to be on thick, fresh, white, crusty bread, spread with a thick layer of a certain Danish butter first, then an even thicker layer of CRUNCHY Peanut Butter. DEEEEEELISH!

Peanut butter spread in the groove of a celery stick with mashed banana on top! I want it NOW!!!!
Failing that in a sarnie of fresh crusty bread cut from a big loaf, spread with peanut butter and slices of pear!!!!! Drat, all I have is the jar of peanut butter and a spoon. Oh well, that will do nicely.....
You'd better stick with this then - your favourite (that you're not allowed) Aw - so sorry for reminding you what you're missing!!!
