    I've dried some chillies ristra style, but I'm not sure whether I've let them go too far. they are totally dry and wizened. Do I crush them now, or leave them whole? I don't use chilli, they'll be given to my daughter who uses them almost every day.

    I would give them to your daughter as they are Flo. Then she can decide how she wants to keep/use them. Where did you dry them?

        Dry and crispy is right. Just pull one off the string as you need it. They can be chopped into dishes as they are, or you can rehydrate them in water first

          I'm I right in thinking you can dry them in the oven? I have a load of jalapeños that need drying ..

            I read that jalapeños have to be cut then dried in the oven because they are a lot more fleshy.
