  • Too much chilli in my relish!

I've put too many chilli's in my relish which is cooking away now.
Is there any way of reducing the strength before the relish is ready to jar up?

Could you put in proportionate amounts of the other ingredients ??

Apart from that - not really. Just label it 'hot' chilli relish and perhaps use less when eating?

There's no such thing as too much chilli, imo. Post it to me

I know I am reading this too late, and although I am totall agreement with TS

There is a little trick to take the heat out of things, and it does work. Apricot Jam.....

My chef hubby swears by it..... a spoonful does, believe it or not, take some of the spice out of a chilli con carne without sweetening it up

probably dosent help now, but a tip for the future x
