Thank you Jaxom for the recipe for Welsh Cakes - I must have missed this the first time round. Its now in my scrap book.
My parents moved from Essex to Wales (just outside Abergavenney) when my Dad retired and really involved themselves in Welsh life (or at least the Welsh Borders life!). At the local garden show, my Mum won first prize for her Welsh Cakes and caused quite a stir! Mind you my maiden name is Richards!
