You can get problems with some veggies though, for example broad beans as they are more likely to split which is bad as then you will have problems clearing. However the raspberry I made last year was from frozen fruit and is the clearest I've ever managed.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Good thread to ponder on an icy day in Feb as not unknown to put surplus gooseberries in only to spot last year's still there, oops.
So currently defrosting 2011 fruit to make a space in the freezer to make crumbles to put back in the freezer, no space in the freezer…. Am I doing this right?
Also timely to ponder what NOT to freeze again coz some stuff might as well go to the worms fresh as they end up with it in the end..... Why do some things freeze so well and others so disastrously, need to find other ways...
The tally, comments and advice invited….:
1. Don't even try... pears (don’t keep, better bottled), apples (store a bit, last longer dried), strawberries (eat), courgette and peppers (dried), chillies (fresh/dried).
2. Hopeless, zero percent, don’t do it again! Rubbery carrots (in future keep like parsnips and maincrop potatoes); grey mange tout and french beans (probably best regarded as fresh only). This winter was reasonably successful with fresh veg so not going to freeze raw veg this year only in prepared/cooked dishes where it seems be OK…
3. OK-ish: A few raw/blanched veg such as sliced runner beans, broad beans. Short term: semi-skimmed milk, bread, surplus fresh pasta, cooked rice . Plums, greengages etc OK-ish but probably better bottled or in a prepared/cooked dish.
4. Best: most raw meats; soft fruit such as currants (white, red, black), gooseberries etc; passata (much easier than bottling); many prepared pre-cooked meals including soups, stews, curries, some sauces, crumbles, fruit syrups etc.
5. Best of all: Cornish Dairy Ice-cream, ice for drinks.
