I've taken my own advice and baked a batch using the ww recipe. Instead of salt I used a crumbled veggie stock cube. I feel I had been too heavy on the dried mixed herbs so I should have used two scant teaspoonsful (not that keen on the flavour of thyme and rosemary). Tasting it now I think the mix would be enhanced by some seeds - pumpkin, sunflower and even some sesame over the surface.
However it is a good hearty snack and in a strange way tastes quite meaty for a veggie dish!Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

You could possibly use a very hard cheese such as Gran Padrano or Parmesan, which have a lower fat content in the savoury flapjack.
I know someone who's child is vegan, she substitutes mashed banana for eggs in cake recipes which could also help with a calorie count. I have my Nan's tea loaf recipe and I used to put banana in that instead of egg when the BH had gallbladder problems.
