I also got whatever the adults got, albeit not so much, and if there was something on the plate I didn't like, I wasn't forced to eat it, but I didn't get something else instead. If the kids have a particular favourite meal, you all have it one night, you don't cook it separately for the little darlings [rolls eyes...]. Probably accounts for why I'm such a flippin' dustbin now. Just don't feed me liver, ketchup, peanut butter or cold things that I think should be served hot (pasta, rice, eggs etc) and I'm a happy bunny!! Keep thinking I should try liver again though, thin slices, pan-fried and crispy maybe....?
    Are y'oroight booy?

I don't eat liver, or kidney. Pretty much because I don't want to be eating wee and poo strainers

But I did watch a chap on telly cook some fresh lambs liver the other day - think it was RC. Coated lightly in seasoned flour then shallow fried.

Kidneys are as you say 'wee strainers', but the liver is the 'chemical factory' where so many digestive enzymes etc are produced, it has no actual connection with anything 'outgoing'.
I enjoy liver, kidneys are "OK in Steak-and-kidney-pud".
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
