    Last night ...

Chicken casserole (made with shallots (Red Sun), our first parsnip (can't remember the variety) and baby carrots (Market Atlas)), steamed cabbage (Golden Acre) and roast potatoes (some Golden Wonder we dug up a bit early).

    Tonight

Chips (homemade - Kestrels) .. a guilty treat , steamed sugar snap peas, cabbage and smoked sausage.

The cabbage we harvested weighed over 8 lb, so lots of meals with that

In the oven as we speak!
Slice up and layer in a heavy frying pan:-
One manky yellow courgette with a rotting end,
Three Mrs Fortune French beans (they're all I have in the world)
About 6 halved, leftover cooked potatoes, sliced into rounds, ,
Shove the frying pan on the hob to soften the beans and courgette, then cover with the potatoes.
Put slices of mature cheese on top and bung in the oven. Wait until cheese has melted
Tomorrow I hope to find an hour when I can go out and buy some food.

Last night courgette (ok, it was a marrow) fritters, herby couscous and green salad.

VC we do that kind of thing lots, too. Sometimes I chuck in a couple of eggs instead of the cheese. Or both!

Nipped to lottie and harvested some baby artichokes. Roasted them in olive oil with some tiny whole cloves of garlic and shallots; then tossed with basil, rocket, mint, feta and lemon juice. Then piled between pasta sheets as a sort of open ravioli. Ever so nice!

Curry night last night so along with sort-of-naan and dahl as normal we had beetroot with onions (shorvedar chukander) and an adaptation of potato podimas using summer squash instead. The latter is from the lovely Das Sreedham's New Tastes of India' sadly now OP.
