Just been to the local market and got a big bag of huge juicy red toms for a pound!! So they are now slow cooking on the hob with onions, garlic, herbs, red pepper and a pinch of salt. When it all melts down I shall put into jars as passata to use put on pasta

Made vegan Bolognaise sauce on Friday (with TVP - tip for those who find it a bit plain & watery - add about half less water and flavour with smoked paprika) using up some veggies from lottie, and some borlotti beans for added protien etc. Saturday I smothered half marrows with it and baked in the oven adding cheese to those who eat it - scrummy!
Serve with spanish potatoes, or maybe garlic bread???

Celery baked in cheese sauce. Chucked in the left over courgettes cooked with garlic from the day before, too.
There's not a lot that isn't made good with a cheese sauce

Sweet pepper, onion, carrots and turnip, tossed in oil and balsamic vinegar and roasted. Wish it would hurry up - smells delicious and I'm starving!

                            Celery and blue cheese risotto.

Mr PP thought it too blue, but what would he know?

I love a big Sunday dinner but things were haywire this week and I didn't have anything organised. It was brilliant opening a home canned jar of pork steaks in gravy and a jar of carrots. Just had to do potatoes and cabbage and throw some garden peas in with the carrots. Big Sunday dinner that took no longer than peeling and cooking the spuds
