Peeling Potatoes

I have found this on YouTube and it looks so easy.

I have peeled tomatoes this way for years but never tried it on tatties.

Thanks Roger! Would never have thought of doing that. I tend to eat the potato peel anyway on a decent potato but for blemished ones it might be worth trying, Wonder if it works on beetroot or other veg?

It would work for beetroot, I always do mine that way. Don't bother with the scoring, and just leave to cool instead of putting in iced water, but the skin just slides off.

I do that Rusty but the skin comes off in small bits, rather than big ones - and I get so messy in the process but what's new there?

Thanks Roger like you I use that method for toms so I'll have to give it a go.

hmm dont think it would work well with the lil fiddly ones i do this already with toms, and with beetroot but i dont score those,

dont you hate it when people do things and make it look so easy
