  • Toffee help please

    I've just made up a batch of a chewy toffee recipe and am not sure if its going to set . Will I be able to reboil it if it doesn't ?

    I can't help you with that, but runny toffee would be gorgeous on a crepe, ice-cream, just about anything.
    Perhaps you can re-heat it, slowly. Interesting!

      Yes, it has to boil to a certain temp doesn't it -

        If you prefer a harder toffee, add a few (only a few) drops of venegar to the mix.

          I scraoed it all back in the pan and added a couple of tbsp of evap milk to loosen it. Reboiled very slowly over a mod heat and made sure it got up to temp . Set a treat and have been told its better than Th++++ons ........happy days
