Lightly steamed with butter and a poached egg to dip it in, or served with a good steak.

Lightly steamed with Hollandaise for naughty, or a little melted butter, cracked black pepper and a squeeze of lemon for nice.
Eat well, live well, drink moderately and be happy (hic!)

Has to be Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Risotto. Pop the asparagus in 5 minutes before then end and they stay crisp and colourful. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil and some parmesan shavings...mmmm

Risotto yes, topped with blanched asparagus and a slice or two of smoked salmon and some Parmesane shavings.

I steam lightly for 5mins so they still have a little crunch then toss them in melted butter with a little crushed garlic pepper and salt.

Raw, or very lightly cooked (either steaming or simmered).. then with a knife and fork!

My brother in law wraps asparagus in bacon and puts them on the bbq. Don't know what it tastes like though because I'm vegetarian! I prefer asparagus steamed.

Love it most ways but if I cook it for myself I griddle in the tiniest drizzle of best olive oil with 'proper' salt and fresh black pepper. If i'm feeling decadent I pop it under the grill with a grating of good old Lancashire cheese. Now I am drooling.
I love making soup with the woody bit too, tastes just as yummy as tender asparagus and I just crush it up with the blender and then sieve it to get rid of the sticks.
I love it in quiche too with onion and crispy bacon.
                    Greedy guts!

I honestly don't think I've ever tasted it.

On a tray in the oven drizzled with rapeseed oil and some sea salt, 10-12min and it tastes amazing!

I love mines with béchamel sauce. When I was a kid I used to eat them wrapped in dark forest ham or jamon serrano.
