If you're that worried, defrost them, and give them to the Cats or Chooks.

Jules, my wife is the same, throw them out and use the freezer space for something else, I have argued long and hard over things that are safe to eat but 50 years of experience count for nothing against "I don't know?"

LOL....you're right, we won't eat them. I'm just defrosting them in the fridge and then I'll it chop very finely with a very sharp knife. When the pork is cooked I'll offer it to the cats - they'll turn away if their noses say it's not safe - but the chooks will eat it.

As I understand it, chooks don't digest half the bacteria we do, it passes through completely, so they should be safe.

                Not a good idea
Pork - Fat is generally beneficial to cats, but the fat globules in pork are larger than the fat globules in other meats, and can clog the small blood vessels of a cat. Avoid any pork products, especially bacon, which contains the hazardous preservative, sodium nitrate.
