Some articles say to blanch before freezing, others say not to bother. Anyone with personal experience have any advice to offer?

I just take them out of their pods and freeze them.
When I defrost them, I pour boiling water over them and tear off the skins- then steam them for a few minutes

Never blanch, just pod and freeze. Then cook from frozen, much nicer than if defrosted first.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

I pick 'em small before they get those nasty jackets , pod and chuck straight in the freezer. To cook I chuck'em straight into boiling water , bring back to boil , 3mins and out ....S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig
