I have shelves and shelves of cookbooks, which I read like novels (usually in bed!) then discard and go my own way.....now saving quite a bit on food bills by Googling recipes for whatever is on offer at the allotment and basing meals on that.
Sounds boring, but it's amazing how many different ideas and tastes come up.....my family don't seem to realise when they've eaten cauliflower-based meals three nights running!
    Another favourite is broccoli.
Broccoli and anchovy pasta sauce, broccoli cheese and bacon, cheese and broccoli tart, broccoli, tomato and chillie lasagne......and so it goes.
Veggie curries with the addition of boiled eggs or a tin of chickpeas can be really good.
    Even braise cos lettuce........
Hungry now, must go and puree a carrot!

I'm addicted to cookbooks almost as much as seed catalogues. Love to have a flick through with a cuppa, I don't find it the same on the computer.

Wait till they've had cabbage or sprouts 3 nights running - you'll all know about it!
