BTW what are walking onions? Our homemade bread is also not unhealthy but is full of carbs which I'm trying to avoid!!!!!
Sorry about the delay Teakdesk.Walking onions are also known ar Egyptian onions and sometimes tree onions. The small onions appear at the top of the "stem" in small groups which then bend over and the little onions root themselves.they can be used as pickling onions it I just use them for salads or anything really!

thats the only way my children eat corguettes ... you dont need to batter them with egg ... you can also place the slices in a plastic bag with a cup of self raising flour, then shake the bag to coat the slices and fry till golden and crispy

another way (that my wife enjoys) .... cube the courgette in fairly large cubes, boil in salted water, drain, add juice from 1/2 a fresh lemon, a bit more salt, fresh ground black pepper and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil

I do pretty much the same recipe, but also add garam masala and paprika to give them a bit of a kick.

I have just made 1700ml of elderberry vinegar, 250ml bottles to give away and the rest in larger bottles for home use or to decant into smaller bottles as presents.

It's lovely eaten either cold as a cake or warm with custard as a pudding. YUM!!
