  • Too Many cherry Toms

It looks like over the next few weeks I am going to get lots and lots of cherry toms.
Has anybody tried freezing or drying them as they come ripe. If they were all ready at the same time I would make a batch of pasta sauce, but they seem to be coming in a few each day.
    Any suggestions????

Save them up until you have enough for the sauce.

I roast my spare toms every time the ovens even if I've only a few of them, they then get frozen.

I bung them in the freezer until I have a bagful - then cook them.

Yup, I just take some from the bag as I need them, to go in winter casseroles

Yesterday I made some soup with the last from last year, frozen. I freeze them whole. Then when I use them, a short drench under the tap, and the skin peels off easily, ready for the pot. I also dried cherry tomatoes last year. I halved them then shoved them in a warm oven. It does take quite a while, but they keep well, and are very tasty, without the salt or oil of bought ones.
