We've been given a box of walnuts by a client and would welcome any suggestions for savoury recipes so I can use them as the protein content of a meal. I'm fairly indifferent to the taste so don't mind it getting a little lost
Walnuts go well with a roast squash, kale and goats cheese dish (throw them in at the end so they don't become too soft). Also lovely in a salad with sun dried tomatoes.
Chop and press onto pastry à la Mary Berry doing goat's cheese tarts on TV yesterday. Chop and mix into risotto or leave chunkier if you like the crunch. The greeks use lots of walnuts in delicious ways. Google greek walnut recipes for tons of ideas.
