My kitchen is not that big, but it is big enough to house the ice cream machine.

The bread makers live in the dining room along with the cookbook cupboards.

Our bread maker used to live in the dining room until we had the extension built which gave us a small utility room which is a much better home for it as I hated the dining room being cluttered up. Thankfully we only need space for one as there's only the two of us. A loaf every two or three days keeps us in bread and I like to be able to wake up to a fresh loaf for making our packed lunches which would never happen if I had to get up in the night to make it .

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

You wait for ages for an icecream maker, then two come along at once!

I have been struggling along womanfully without one all 'summer' but am now biting the bullet. My gooseberry icecream would be even more delicious without all the ice crystals in it...

Gaggia machines are like (very expensive) hen's teeth, so I am opting for the cusinart. It is handily on offer all over the internet with free delivery since I don't fancy lugging its 10KG back from town.

All my family are being asked to put some cash in the icecream maker kitty, rather than buying me stuff I don't really want for my birthday, which will make it much more affordable.

I may not be able to fit through the GR door later this year...

You won't regret it Sparrow. You will wonder how you managed without one.

As for fitting through the door. no worries you can make loads of low cal treats using low fat yoghurt. fromage fraise, crème fraiche and stevia.

There is also a new cookery book I have found, and bought of course, (well I did have a clear out of recipes books recently) called The Skinny Ice cream maker. Have tried a couple for our slimming world and diabetic bods and they have been favourably received.

Having almost had smoke coming out of the electric whisk to get my latest batch churned, I can't wait...!
