  • Cauliflower side dish

Okay all you budding chefs and chefettes - I've searched this site and cant find anything on interesting ways to serve cauli as a side dish - to make it more appealing to OH who thinks the stuff is boring unless made into cauli cheese or curry. How do you serve it, as part of your meat and two veg, but more interestingly?

Moggsue, I like it mixed with brocolli and covered with an onion sauce. It's good with sausages or chops.
As a main dish I like it mixed with smoked fish and covered with a cheese suace.
    Looking forward to other suggestions.

Cauli and or broccoli in a spicy tomato sauce baked in oven with a sprinkle of cheese.

Wish mine were big enough to cook!

What's wrong with cauli cheese? Love the stuff and have never thought of eating it any other way whether that's the whole meal or as a side dish. Find it a bit bland without the cheese sauce.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Nothing wrong with cauli cheese Alison, I adore it! (In fact had it last night with cottage pie). But I was looking to ring the changes a little since we'll be eating a lot of it for the next few weeks haha.

Mandy - mine seem to have appeared overnight, one day nothing then two days later a monster was there, so keep a close eye on yours!

Raw with the sprigs dipped in hummous. Lovely for starters.

Since I have lots of spinach as well as lots of cauli, that would be a perfect recipe pearlescent, thank you! Can I add beans as well since they're coming into their own now as well haha!
