I can never judge soft boiled perfectly, and it's hit and miss if I get a good hard boiled one too!
thought I might give this a try...it also says fresh eggs are easier to peel!
might be the answer to my perfect 'boiled' eggs!

Does anyone regularly use this method?

Nope - I go 2 mins from the boiling for soft eggs and 6 for hard boiled. Never fails for me, but Himself can't do it and regularly wails...

I do steam-fry my eggs cos I hate flabby tops: add a splash of water once the whites have set beneath the yolk and pop a lid on for a minute or two. Perfectly set on top and the yolk's still all runny.
