As for BBQing, I don't know. They go a bit soft and squidgy when fried, so they might not do well with direct heat off the BBQ. You might manage if you have one of those BBQs with heat to the side, so that essentially you're baking them. They are brilliant chopped into chunks and roasted in the oven (drizzle with a bit of oil and season or sprinkle with spices).
As they go soft, we BBQ ours in a well oiled foil tray and cook them cut into halves or quarters.
They are tasty that way and minimal cleaning at the end.
Education is important, but motorbikes is importanter.
