I've done summat similar tonight too
I used flat podded French beans - cut into diamond shapes with scissors.
Boiled in a little water until soft, drained.
Added some chopped fresh tomatoes and heated/stirred them togather untl the toms broke down.
Added a tin of mackerel in sweet chilli sauce and stirred it all together.
Poured a glass of red and ate my dindins.
Cost - about 40p for the fish.
