  • Welcome back Two Sheds

As it says welcome back, good to see you again. Wondered where you had gone!

Thank you so much, my lovey ❤️

I’ve been busy gardening in the hiatus ... both sisters’ gardens, 1.5 allotments and a cheeky verge which I’ve planted up (I mean - not me officer, I’m just weeding it)

I gave up the 2 school gardens: no support and it was killing me - not one parent/staff was inspired to keep it going, and they ripped everything out when I left (100s bulbs, currants, apple trees ... all turfed over).

That's a terrible shame, Two Sheds. Really sorry to hear that.

But glad to hear you're having fun elsewhere.

I liked your post TS but not because I approved of your school garden being ripped out. That was simply a travesty.

Sorry to hear that, T_S, after all your work. Our local (primary) school garden has just closed too for similar reasons, it's probably happening throughout the country. It needs a re-think but quite what that is I've no idea. There's frequent news stories of children's (and adult's!) ignorance about food origins plus stats of child obesity, today on the BBC it was increases in child diabetes etc etc. There are lone voices like George Monbiot or Jamie's Campaign, Sugar Tax etc but it needs to become a new cult, then it might catch on. How might that come about?
