In an effort to be part of the allotment community on my new site I attended a general meeting held in the rain!
It was interesting to see how others did it without the rules and regulations that were imposed on us at my other site.
I think I may fit in well.
While I was there I gathered another three courgettes and swapped one of my green ones for a yellow one with another plot holder.
From two plants I must have had about 30 courgettes up until now
Now I have finally hung up my old work boots I can enjoy my retirement. I am looking forward to getting stuck into my new plot.
I need to procure my Japanese autumn planted onion sets and get them in. While at the GC the other day there were plenty of winter brassicas (albeit at a price) and of course broadies will go in November. Hopefully there will be no bare areas on the plot over winter and it will be fruitful Spring/Summer.
