Wow yeah, I remember everyone talking about them driving round the island with the camera on the roof of the car. That was just before we moved up here ! We've been here 10 years! How did that happen!

    • I was down West Wales in my little cottage when the Goggle car came through. My neighbour was with me, chatting as usual, and we saw the car coming down the narrow street. He put his arm round me and said "That'll give them something to talk about!".
Whether it did, or not, I've no idea.

              • Full planning will be going in early next week. It's taken a While to iron out the final detail. But we wanted to make sure we got it right first time and we love it. Now let's see if we're allowed to build what we want now. Hopefully because there's nothing outrageous or unusual.
Plans have also been sent to the sips company to get a quote for the main structure. It's very exciting .

                        • Let's hope the planners say yes.
An estate agent is coming to value our house next Wednesday.
The very odd bit about it is the landlords are making the potential buyers get the valuation done?! The landlords could have it done for free because they're the ones wanting to sell. The buyers have to pay for a valuation. I don't get why the landlords aren't doing it, they do want to sell. Either way I don't really care, I certainly won't be here. I want no involvement in selling another house I love. Had to do it with my grandparents house ( my childhood home ). It touches a nerve.

                          • Looks like we have the incompetent over enthusiastic newbe planning muppet on our case .
Plans arrived on the planers desk on the 3rd of this month. Plans are now finally validated and on line. After making our architecture jump through hoops he doesn't normally jump through at this stage. Things like asking for specs then 2 days later asking for the same specs to be removed! It's infuriating.

Anyway it's taken 3 weeks but it's done. Our plans are in the system.
For those of you that are about to go and hunt out the plans they have lied it only got validated ( or certainly only put online) yesterday not the 16th which is what it says online ( they were still asking unnecessary questions then )

                            • Without going searching for the plans, does it say how long it will before the decision is taken? is it 6 weeks?
