Charging cordless power tools on the plot

Got a lot of serious things going on at the moment - so rather than contemplate those I've been thinking about how to keep cordless powertools topped up on the plot

I've got one of these and a car battery on the plot - have been used for various experiments with water pumps and pond paraphenalia...

I've got an inverter in the car (somewhere) - so could perhaps trickle charge the battery, plug the inverter in and then the powertool charger/battery. Not going to be effiicient though and the inverter is essentially surplus to requirements really - just need a 12 volt charger to do it direct but... can you even get them?

I've not engaged my brain on this - can you tell?
Do I really need any of this? No, not really.... still...

I just have a coup[le of spare batteries. As I use the same brand of tools all the batteries are interchangeable.

Short off a generator...like Jay-ell I carry spare batteries. I only use M**it's tools and have 3 18v 5Ah Li-lon batteries

There is a genny on the plot come to think of it...
though its rarely functional....

I've got a solar panel and I wanna use it dammit! (Even if its entirely impractical.)

I suppose you want to buy a power auger to plant your bulbs and you need a cordless drill to do so but your battery is always be flat.

Use hand tools and some energy instead. That will take your mind off whatever else is in it.

I had the week off last week - mostly used petrol driven bits and pieces - I'm covered in blisters,scabs and cuts from over doing it. If I took your advice VC and tried to use my dear old dad's hand drill I've got up at the plot I do believe I'd have done myself in... though actually I'd probably still be waiting for the WD40 to 'release the mechanism'

That's the type of things jay - thanks for the link.

Brand is yet to be decided upon - there was a very nice pair of makita 12v drill / driver I saw for £85 a week or two ago but its a bit too near / too far from XXmouse if you see what I mean. They're back at £185 now so...
Anyhow - its likely going to depend on what I can find 2nd hand - though I've got a Worx strimmer and 2* 2amp worx batteries so that the favourite search term for ebay and FB marketplace.
I've also persuaded a couple of other people on the site to go for the Worx strimmer - was that naughty of me? I might become a Worx reseller...
I guess the bigger / pro brands like makita / ryobi are more likely to have the sort of thing you linked to though I'm not going to be leaving anything expensive on site... hrmmm.

I don't leave anything on site - I take down whichever tools I need at the time.

I started off buying a drill battery, charger and reciprocating saw package as it worked out cheaper than a saw, battery and charger by themselves. I've got a strimmer, hedge cutter, angle grinder, chainsaw on a stick, blower and lawnmower. Works out cheaper not buying batteries with them so the few I have can be used with all of them and I have enough to generally last all day and do whatever I have planned.

I have a Worx drill but prefer the Ryobi

One thing I've done "Bodgey fixes a specialty" is to make an adapter so I can run my 12v dewalt cordless drills off a car battery. Of course this has downsides, in that the battery is v heavy and you are back to having a power cable - on the other hand if you are doing something like building a shed, just having a power screwdriver which you can work all day without needing mains power is sometimes handy. I put an old 12' flex on it with croc-clips, so it wouldn't be too restrictive.
