Now, if you’re willing I have a lovely Gardeners Rest job for you.
Do you fancy being our Father Christmas? Last year the only person daft enough (sorry I meant keen) to undertake this demanding position was GL.
Sadly, his Bar Humbug attitude really affected our normally party loving Elves which sent all of them into the depths of despair.

To take on this job you will be required to -
Encourage the Elves to dance and sing.
Applaud when they do even if they use rude words or gestures.
Constantly top up VC’s glass of red. You won’t have to worry about the cost as the Vine has an account with a local tanker driver who delivers as and when.
You will have to ‘jolly’ along certain Grapes who really don’t want to get into the GR spirit.
Supply your own Santa suit. Stockings and suspenders are optional.

Lumpy the "Stockings and suspenders" are what sold me on the job, being stout and now having white hair and beard when I don't shave I could not shave until Christmas then I would have a real beard. I'm sure keeping VC tipsy, I mean happy would be no problem at all.

Can I have Balders as a elf ?

Just read through the above I will no be henpecked this year, as I have already indicated I have turned over a new leaf, I have even offered to be the barmanat minimum cost I also note that Snoop will be a great asset to the GR, if she keep taking the wine, and is she aware that she has to provide a drink for everyone at the bar when she delivers the tree, and janie if you will take Cad down to the depth of despair, the elves may be able to help him with a soot, right I need to go and check everything is ok for hanging on the tree, would anyone like to give me a hand to check

Ah. I was told that the hefalump is a dainty bird that flits from bough to bough. You have now confirmed it.

OK, still on the tree case. Just got to work out how to transport it. It is ginormous. Need Mr Snoop's help it's so big.

If you want one that's covered in snow, it would have to be smaller.
