I liked the GR better as it was when first started, a never-ending storybook that everyone added a few lines to, leaving a half finished sentence which the next grape added to, often changing the direction of the story.

Now it's just a virtual pub. Sorry.

So I probably won't be joining in again this year.

I agree that the never ending story was also a fun aspect Mothhawk....
Its possible we could have both as in for the story, people generally wrote a line or two and left it ending with ...
So for example, "Ted fell out the door and took part of someone's kilt with him, it was chaos until............."

Then whoever wants can come along, quote that post and continue on....Meanwhile, the other pantomime, food menus, barmaid stuff etc etc can continue also....

Sounds as if we need 2 bar rooms, the spit and sawdust and the lounge bar. One running the panto and the other for general mayhem. This would also suit Lumpy who isn’t into pantos.

Mods have to read all these posts/threads just to keep it all hunkydory. I can't keep up with 3 at a time - and participate - so I'm out. I've always been a party pooper anyway.

What can we do to make your participation possible? (I don't remember you being a party pooper last year at all.)

I just don't have the time or brain power to keep all the thread balls in the air at once. I've joined in in the past because I had to read the posts anyway but, I don't do Christmas (there I said it) so I can't get enthusiastic over, even, the GR celebrations.
On top of that, I've never watched Dr Who so don't really know what a Tardis does so I'm just a sham

Now we have 3 threads on the same theme, we can either merge them or close two. It is very difficult to manage all three at once.

As the mods are also the proprietors of tbe GR, at the AGM will shall discuss if the GR is opening this year.

I never intended it to be an ongoing theme just my explanation of the GR for anyone who was interested.
