Just seen this! I drew a square around my house (and the neighbours) and could pinpoint the contour line that runs through the house (106m). Also see the direction of the contours. Fascinating - especially if you like maps.

Google maps have updated their satellite picture of my plot, so it no longer shows as an overgrown wilderness ;-)

Nice Find VC if you want to find out about the Geology of your site go to Geology of Britain Viewer Geology of Britain viewer | British Geological Survey (BGS) and put your postcode in the location top right corner.

You can look at the Bedrock and the Superficial or Both at once.

You can also look for local Borehole results and see the results

Using Google maps you can zoom into your house/garden/plot and "draw" the boundary. Daftlogic calculates the area so, for example, my garden is 0.59 acres.
