  • What did YOU do Today?

    Not that it's the first time it's happened, but I found myself in a sort of dilemma at lunchtime today. I could take the short-cut through the village on my way back home, or I could drive the long-way-round and visit my local butcher.

    I decided to take the long route, but the butcher was closed for lunch.

    There was a lovely looking couple in their late 60's, also disappointed not to be able to get two rather large slabs of red for their gas BBQ that plugs into their caravan because they are on holiday down here, and had just walked miles? So, having discussed the calamity, at great lengths with them, I offered to drive them to another Butcher 5 miles away, and to drop them back to their Caravan.
    Although very nervously accepted by Mrs. (Mr. convinced her in the end...) there are now two VERY happy Forest of Dean Tourists, tucking into their 8oz. Rump Steaks as I type.

    Smug No. Thoughtful Yes.

    What did YOU do today?

    Sorry Wellie, nothing as good as that. Did manage to sort out a staffing crisis (yet another one), so I may have to postpone my nervous breakdown. Looking forward to a weekend off, haven't been able to check the forecast, but I do hope it's a good one.

      I had my manager out with me today and was dreading it as we were "spec"ing as i had no appointments and receptionists dont like it when there is two of you.
      but it went really well and got my best report yet!

          Good for you Wellie,
          Didn't do anything good today but like you I get a real kick out of being nice to people 'specially strangers. Note to self: must try harder.

                Not really what I did today but I love Ancient Greece. Wish I had been in your class "Miss Vegmonkey"
                Probably would have failed the test tho;
