Good morning all.
Finally we have some sunshine.
Just spent an hour in the greenhouse and all seems well.
Everything growing although a bit on the slow side.
Potatoes are up, red cabbage and brocolli doing fine.
Lettuce and spring onions almost ready to harvest.

Another lovely day including the rain which was soft and gentle and very welcome.

I have the last Town Council meeting tonight before the elections tomorrow.

Yesterday I had my follow up visit with the consultant who did my op 3 weeks ago. They have managed to get all of the cancer but I will be on Chemo tablets every day for the next 5 years. I started them yesterday. They make me feel woozy and have other side effects. They told me about these but said they will settle down as my body gets used to the pills. So I don't know whether to walk or drive this evening. Ideally I wouldn't go at all but I may get voted off tomorrow.

Evening All

Been an eventful couple of days, what with our son moving into his own home...tears from us, big beaming smile from him.

He has been really fortunate with his new house, lovely clean fitted carpets and a new boiler installed in Feb. He has worked hard for this day and we are so proud of him

Good evening, the day started off with a little light rain and then cloudy spells most of the day, but nice this evening have been out doing a general tidy up, now in to read a book by Conn Iggulden , a writer I enjoy,had read most of his books but then went back to sf and others but now back to try more of his historical novels, well enjoy your gardening, and remember to keep a smile close at hand. So..go on...own up...who's got the sun today?

My intention had been to go swimming during the lunch hour when it's open to the public , but, I'm on standby, with my car , to take someone food shopping if her car can't be fixed.
*wonders if you can use up as much calories nattering as in swimming????

We had a swallow flying around inside the house yesterday.Its absolutely amazing the speed they can fly and not bump into anything!

Watermelon for breakfast -help yourselves, there's plenty!

Got a beautiful pink patch of skin in the middle of my right palm, a blister caused by all the weeding I did yesterday. Having the morning off (paid work instead) but will set to later with a big wadge of gauze and micropore to provide a bit more padding under my glove. Making good progress, thank goodness. Top tool at the moment: my hori-hori. But I've been singing its praises elsewhere, so will shut up about it now.

Looks like we'll be back to frosts again over the weekend. On the positive side, I can make some bread and a lemon and polenta cake while the range is going. Diet, what diet?

Anyway, meanwhile, have a nice day everyone, especially Bramble.

Afternoon from me.
We had lovely sun shine this morning. Washing went out early doors and I’ve not long brought it in as rain threatened.
Totally clouded over now, and expecting rain.
I have one beautiful white calla lily out with lots more more following. Will take a picture later if I can.
Have got the GG again, lots of to ing and fro ing. But I love seeing her.

Yey !...... managed to do my first swim of the year
1mile in 1hr.... now I ache all over
At least I managed to get the weeks shopping done afterwards too.
Been a rubbish day weatherwise, so I've not really missed out on any gardening.
Think I may fall over sideways now

Little bit of drizzle here this morning. And very chilly. Dogs quite happy lolling about in their baskets rather than clamouring for a walk and even Mr Snoop has gone back to bed for an early nap! Possibly not feeling too well.

Not much other news. Paid work calls. Will try and do a bit more weeding later on.
