Good morning all.
Cold and bright but dry and 8 degs.
A day of gardening for me today.
Looking forward to it as it's a while since I had a whole day to myself.
Bank holiday here as well.

Anyone know where I can buy some patience?
A couple of years back I sowed some Sweetcorn, after a couple of weeks and no show, I went and bought some plants from a nearby GC and within days my own started sprouting. Well after giving up on my mammoth trench celery and just plonking the seed trays in the greenhouse after 3 weeks in the heated propagator...……………...yep they are now growing. Luckily I haven't yet filled the raised bed allocated for celery experiments lol.

Had a great swim today...exhausted now
Popped into L!dl for some provisions and impulse purchased a sorbet maker.
Going to have a play with it this evening. It apparently uses just frozen fruit. Got loads of that so mmmm....

I'm exhausted too Nicos but different to you. I've made 6 jars of lemon curd, a chocolate orange cake for my staff, coconut ice for the gluten free staff and an almond tart for the MIL. Phew and I've only been outside to hang out the washing. Back to work tomorrow for a rest!

Dull here too Flo.
Pity, cos it's our wedding Anniversary and we are going out for the day .

There is a prehistoric polishing stone about an hour from here. It's where they sharpened their stone blades in grooves and smoothed the sides by rubbing around a hollow in the stone.
Quite amazing to think these things have survived. We have seen 2others in our locality, all next to small streams where they would wet their blades first.
I often smile to myself ,connecting with those folk ,when I use my wet sharpening stone on my metal gardening blades.

Diet is going well-very pleased with yesterday's weigh in

Morning All

Dry, bright and warmer than the last few mornings, currently 12° in the garden. Got to pressure wash the MiL's patio today....ain't I a lucky boy

Noisy here with the treeman doing his job, all I seem to be doing is serving cups of tea and cupcakes

You need to manage your time and give yourself some variety. Have you tried serving coffee and flapjacks?

No but we changed to bacon rolls for lunch at 1.30 lol
