  • Good morning all.
    A dull overcast morning.
Going to catch up on domestics in the hope it will be sunny this afternoon.
Have a good day whatever you're up to,

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • Bright but due to get cloudy later. Mr Snoop out finishing off putting up the tomato cane structure. Always like seeing that go up. Late this year, but night-time temps are still below 10 ºC. Very late for it to be so cool.

Other than that, no other news to speak of. More paid work and that's about it for today. Better get my skates on, though, as we're off for a posh lunch tomorrow, so better get some work out the way first.

Have a lovely day, everyone. Especially Nicos, wherever you are.

          • Good afternoon a dry day but still a cold wind blowing have been busy painting (and one thing I don't like is painting) but OH wanted a velux window painted so lifted it out took it out side cleaned and painted it left it to dry so went a walk with the dog and while out again the hawthorn looks stunning I took some photos with my phone but haven't a clue how to down load them to a tablet, will try and put them up later with the computer also painted a hand rail I have fitted for OH to use when going out the back door, again a possible mistake as she sees too many things that need some tidying up I some times wonder if women can look at anything without thinking he could do this or he could do that. Right have to go teas ready

              • Evening all (or morning, depending on how you look at it ) Had a lovely afternoon after work. Eldest was at climbing club so I took youngest to beach as usual. Then picked up eldest and went back to beach.

All had a swim, water was cold, but not too cold. Youngest kept insisting "I'm a fish!" despite slowly turning blue.

Then chips for children, home, quick bath for them and bed.

Bed for me now as well, night all

                  • ^Hope you have a great weekend, FF.

About to go off and start some trial fencing of a bit of my patch to see how it goes. Hope it goes quickly, is the main thing. Way, way, way too much work (doesn't help that one of my clients is a friend and I say yes to things to help her out of difficulties), plus we're off out to lunch today. Local catering school does lunches every week during the academic year. Apparently, it's very good.Although pictures of puds that I've seen on the web look like chocolate open-work sails set in a peppermint green sea... Very fashionable, I guess. That said, we're getting towards the end of the year, so they'll have had plenty of practice! Goodness, but I'm mean.

Right, on that note, better get to it. Have a lovely day, everyone, especially FF and HH (loved hearing about the beach).

                    • Mornings!
Another sunny one, but down to 6C last night and beans are nearly ready to go out *sigh* More garden pottering on the agenda today.

                      Have a good'un

                      • Morning All

Hazy sunshine this morning, so a day for the plots. I don't wish a wet weekend on those that work but we could definitely do with some rain

                        Have a good Thursday all

                        • Morning gang, hope you are all well. Started off with bright sunshine this morning but now it's dull and a bit breezy. Long weekend here too coming up and guess what? It looks like rain! Thanks GL!

Hate to bring a downer on the conversation but can I give a bit of morbid advice? No matter what you have or don't have, no matter what age you are, please think about making a will.

Well after that downer, hope you all have a fabulous day and hope the sun is shining for you wherever you are!

That's not a downer, it's common sense. Brian not making a will cost me £66,000 to keep the house I was paying the mortgage on. I have a will, it needs updating but apart from the fact that my youngest is now an adult, it still stands.

It's really sensible advice. My brother refuses to make one on the grounds of expense. He has three kids and is about to remarry. It'll be far more expensive for them to sort it out than for him to put down in writing what he wants to happen beforehand. And there will be fewer arguments.

That said, sorry if it has come up for you because of something awful.
