Morning all. Busy and brilliant weekend with visitors. Now just got to find all the missing bits and pieces that have been used by the kids. Thought I was careful about hiding my gardening tools, but my nejiri hoe has gone walkabout. Absolutely no idea where it is, and the weeds know...

Not terrible sure what today holds in store, gardeningwise. A bit more bean sowing I think, perhaps some beetroot. And then start on another big weeding job.

One of the visitors talked about some carrots I grew two years ago. Made me think twice about abandoning my other patch. I'll stick with what I've got for now and see what Mr Snoop reckons in the autumn.

Anyway, off to go and put some warmer clothes on and then I'll be off outside. It's really chilly here today.

11C and really persisting down, so looks like indoors stuff for me. I won't even bother going to get the paper unless it stops raining, news will still be same old rubbish, whether I read it or not ( although I do like the puzzle pages and crossword. )

Afternoon, we have actually had some lovely weather over the weekend and also today...yay. The bad news is we are heading down south in a couple of days for a long weekend and it looks like rain!
Been catching up on some laundry and domestics today.
Noticed today that my fruit trees have very little fruit on them guess it must have been the frost. No chutney making for me this autumn, unless I buy the fruit.

Good afternoon a lovely warm day today with some big clouds passing by, painted an other couple of sections of the fence, then strimmed a bit of the field at the back of the garden this is to let the boys play football when they are down during the holidays, though I will need to do the strimming several times as some of the grass etc. is over three feet tall (and the usual, the knees are now pritty sore,) and once I get that done I will need to make a bridge to allow them to cross a wee burn, if I don't do that it would be nothing but moans if they come in wet, have a pleasent evening and I hope you can get some gardening done

That is indeed a pretty flower, RT.

Morning everyone. Cold and very cloudy here at the moment. A minuscule amount of rain forecast. Wish we were getting the UK's weather... Saw a fire plane flying overhead yesterday. Everywhere is as dry as tinder.

Didn't do any gardening yesterday in the end. Off out today to get the bean frame completed. Other than that, it's back to work today. Really enjoyed the weekend, though. Got my peasant's tan, as it's called here: brown forearms, pale upper arms where they're covered up by my t-shirt sleeves.

So, here we go for the day. Have a good one, everyone.

Sat in the greenhouse for my first cuppa, it seemed to be brightening up after a thundery night. Now on my 2nd and it is clouding over again Bah humbug!

Was hoping to get to the plot to plant my squash and courgettes, so we'll see....

Good afternoon still dry but colder than yesterday, managed to get my bridge made last night, so today its take it easy to rest the legs
