Mornings,
I was woken up twice by storms, but they weren't anything special to stay up watching, but we've had some nice steady rain, which we needed here. Hope it didn't make things worse further North
Another storm rumbling in the grey right now, but the cloud is low so again, so boring.
Obvs no outside gardening today, although I've just been vine-pruning in the greenhouse so domestics for me; with the ironing-pile now at epic proportions I don't think I can leave it much longer.....
Mutt and I had a good night last night so I was up sharpish this morning, place is tidy, washing on and I'm generally being productive today. Amazing what a half decent sleep does for you.
Needless to say it's dull outside, this has clearly become the new normal for a 'Highland Summer'.
I was shocked to see how much my cuc plants had grown in the tunnel, despite having little to no sun, so today will be spent tying things up and adding trellis etc.
Anyway off to make a cuppa. Hope your day goes well whatever you're up to.
Dull and drizzly today. I took the car when I went and had my hair done first thing this morning. I would've walked except I didn't see the point of paying lots for a hairdo then coming home like a drowned rat. As it happened it had stopped raining by the time I got out. It has now started again.
After saying all that, I need a watering system. When I went to buy one from our local Screwf1x last year, not only had they sold out but they had none at the supply depot either. the local Gard...sorry..department centres are far more expensive.
Lunch with my sons girlfriend today then domestic drudgery. Laters.

Driving back after lunch (really good, new place, one to remember), we came across lots of tractors heading back into town. Unusual at that time of day. Maybe they think it's going to rain so they're getting the groves of trees ploughed in readiness. Fingers crossed!
Good afternoon, its been a quiet day today, before taking the boy's to school I went out to water the greenhouse and it looks like I have some green fly and white fly there, so have sprayed them with some soapy water, then when checking the garden I noticed that the roses were the same, so they are sprayed as well, haven't been bothered with aphids for several years so wonder what has caused this infestation, and hope the soapy water is enough to get rid of them, after that had to take OH to have her eyes checked as she is diabetic (as well as bossy) she also needs her cataracts done, which she is dreading, and when I say its just a minor procedure I am told to be quiet or words to that effect. After that it was the school concert, and once home with the boy's I nipped down to cut,my grass while it was dry, as the forecast is for showers though that is what was for today and it has been fine though still a cold wind blowing, now waiting for our son to come home so that we can get home, enjoy your evening
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Does anyone else in England feel that we are surrounded by grapes who have got our sunshine. Spain, Portugal, France, Scotland, N Ireland and VC who always has sunshiny Wales. Could at least one of you give at least some of it back. Pretty please.
