  • Weather very overcast here. Never mind, it should make it a bit more comfortable in the greenhouse where I intend to do a bit of sowing and planting.

When is summer going to start? It seems autumnal here.

    • Mornings (just!)
Overcast and humid here, but no rain in the forecast, so off to the plot for some watering when I've finished my cuppa.
Nothing seems to be doing that well this year, blame it on the weather, I suppose - just under 10C last night IN THE GREENHOUSE Dunno how cold it got outside, but poor plants can't know whether they're coming or going

      Have a good'un

                    • Morning, everyone.

Bright outside after a cool night. I don't know how plants manage to cope with the temperature differences between day and night time.

Just been and had a once around the veg patch. No watering required, but maybe tonight. I'll prop up the pepper plants and tie up the toms then. In other news, one lot of French beans has had it. Shame. On the positive side, the squash and melon plants are looking amazing. I'll not bother starting them off in modules in future, they obviously do so much better sown late directly in the ground. Melons are flowering, males only, courgettes are flowering, females only. Desperate times call for desperate measures: I pollinated a female courgette with a male melon. Unlikely to work, but never mind. Made me feel like I was being useful.

                      Have a good day, everyone.

                          A nice mild morning here.
                          No plans for today.
Off out to the park and then some gardening.

                            • Mornings (Just scraped in!)

Very sore back/legs this morning, so slowly walking to the local Co op for milk and paper was enough exercise for today I'd already done the exercises that are supposed to help, not noticed any difference - so there goes that idea!
So I'll be in the garden, topping up my tan, drinking tea and reading my book this afternoon

                              Have a good'un whatever you're up to
