Afternoon folks, lovely day here, lots of sunshine
House chores this morning, funny how cleaning toilets doesn’t feel right on your Birthday
Anyway, chores done, awaiting family visiting later on.

Another four courses of second hand bricks laid this morning. Its quite tricky trying to use a mixture of metric bricks with a few imperial bricks to tie brickwork into existing 1940's bricks.

Fired up the chainsaw this afternoon and cut up some of my scrounged softwood timber into burnable chunks. Still lots to cut, but tomorrows another day.

Good evening, it was a dull start to the day but by 11.30 it started to brighten up, OH needed to do a bit of shopping then we took a friend to some GCs, and when going round she wanted to walk rather than sit in her wheelchair so a nice leisurely pace going round looking at things, 4GCs and I bought a fuchsia, reduced from �4.99 to �1. and OH bought a dahlia at �4.0 I almost bought it for her but unfortunately she had the money out before I had the chance to offer I also looked at a nice Shasta daisy which costs �9.0 and I am still considering going back for it, but perhaps a night's sleep will help me get back to normal, after tea this evening I removed the fire from the greenhouse and have now started to make bench to go across the space where it was hopefully I will get it finished tomorrow. Well tomorrow is half way through the week so for those working you can start looking forward to the weekend, enjoy the rest of the week and keep a smile ready. Goodnight

Morning all, we had a bit of rain through the night, nothing much. It�s dry now but it�s to rain from lunchtime on and who knows when it�s too stop!
Had a lovely afternoon out with friends yesterday, haven�t seen them for ages so it was lovely to catch up.
Anyhoo, domestics call for me, hope you all have a lovely day!!

OH has a friend coming to stay later on today, so more domestics for me too!

Pegbogs are coming on slowly. Still very shy and nocturnal, but putting on weight . Still nowhere near the weight they should be though.
I will try and get a piccie as one is starting to be a tad too brave.

Morning everyone. Glad to hear the hedgehoglets are doing well, Nicos.

Not much news here. Hot, as per. Brought up water from the well last night in the cool, so no watering required. Spotted a large locust right at the top of my tallest climbing bean. Locusts obviously like eating the leaves... Anyway, one locust less in the world now. Too hot to do any weeding once I'd walked the dogs, so lurking in my cool room now. With two of the dogs and one of the cats for company again.

Some domestics this morning and washing on the line now - so garden pottering is on the cards after lunch as it's still sunny and dry (as a bone!) here.

Good afternoon its been raining here since 9.30 and it doesn't look like stopping for a while so while its been raining I decided to make a shelf in the greenhouse and once I had that finished I decided to get the greenhouse tidied up as there is to much stuff I don't use in it

Now that that's done I will fill in a couple of holes in floor after tea, which I have just been told is ready

OH has a friend staying and they have decided to go out to play on the electric bikes....so I'm hoping to catch up with the ironing.
We have rain forecast for early evening. I'm hoping we get more than a splash. The lawns have suddenly gone brown and crispy (the upside of that of course is less mowing at least!)
