Dull day but a promise of being very warm!..let's see!
We're having a couple of peeps over today to get stuck into preparing for our next seed and plant swap at the end of next month.
It's rather exciting looking at all the little packets of seeds. I MUST resist temptation!!!!
I was up early making a chocolate mousse for pud as I'd offered to feed peeps. Another frittata methinks as I have eggs needing using up.

Going about in pelmets might be a fashion statement too far in this part of the world. So I'll pass on those.
Had around 40 litres (mm) per square metre of rain in total over the last 24 hours. Looks like that could be it for now. Anyway, all welcome. Toms have split, as expected. A couple of pepper plants have keeled over. The potatoes have flopped over and look like they need digging up. And the autumn and winter brassicas are breathing a sigh of relief. Went out snail hunting last night and got quite a few, which I lobbed further afield.
Plenty on the cards again for today. So better step on it.

Everything outside is sopping wet with dew, although it's been 11C all night, so not as cold as last few nights. Sun is up so hope it warms up a tad soon.
Don't know what I fancy doing today, throat is still sore, so I'll just make it up as I go along...

^You're right, FF. I can't believe it's Friday already.
Yesterday's big achievement was to find my UK National Insurance number card. Mr Snoop claims not to be responsible for its not being where it should have been and I've decided discretion is the better part of valour.
Busyish day ahead sorting out yet more paperwork now I've started. A loathsome but useful task.

Early start for me...Mrs Mop day ahead plus lots of the dreaded 'I stuff'
We had a great day yesterday, sorting out seeds and lists etc. Between us we put in 24 man hrs of sorting! Loads more to do.

Throat much better this morning, thanks Nicos Mostly cloudy with a few blue bits, blustery and cool - s'posed to be warming up though.
Just pottered a bit yesterday, but today I'm painting - getting fed up with clothes and furniture being in the spare bedroom, mostly - but it's jam packed in there
If I time things right I can paint for a few hours and then sit in the greenhouse later to recover haha.

Well the fishing was a bit of a damp squib, 5 very small flounders all returned safely, so it's raid the fridge for tea again, was a lovely sunny day if a tad windy.Comment

Good evening it has been a nice day today and even now bit feels very mild just in and the temp showing in the car was 11c will need to get watch the tomatoes as I have been reducing the watering over the past week or so they have been going well and I don't want to have them splitting or anything I have had a good crop this year and still have a good number of green tomatoes on the plants, I was thinking of pulling them over the weekend but the forecast of the night temperatures are still reasonable plus I have my fan running again so might just see if air movement works as well at the end of the growing season as it does at the start. Well enjoy your weekend and keep safe if travelling. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mornings, said quietly so as not to wake people up...
A good night's sleep for me. Lucky really as Mollycat decided she wanted to get at the birds, which were making a racket in the gutters and she was making a fuss on the window-ledge Cats eh?
As I was up early, I made Honey and sunflower seed tear and share rolls, they're rising and smelling sweet.
Yesterday the skirting got painted and the first coat on the doors, I'm hoping to get 2nd coat on those today.
