Morning all,you go forth nicos and enjoy,amazing how one jub leads to another eh,so thats under the stairs emptied out and painted,now the front porch is nearly done,it made better sence to get them done before the carpet gets down,got mainly the top coat of gloss to do,then i can hang up the equipment for a bit,can you tell i feel more in control of things now,and consentrate on the gardens,have a good day and Bgood2yrselves.

Morning all. Everyone seems very busy today. Me, all I've done recently is watch other people doing things. Mind you, no way could I compete with a JCB for moving earth and boulders.

So, more or less caught up with myself. Now all I've got to do is to carry on and not spend the next few hours dithering! Plan for today: work and get water up from the well. Although rain due tomorrow, so might change my mind about that.

Glad you're having such a lovely time, Nicos. Would it be heresy to say I don't like crackling?

evening all. Last vegetable show of the year for me on Sunday so all my energies going in that direction. Tying onions and shallots with rafia, washing and polishing spuds. Lifting slug eaten carrots.yes you read that right. Horrible things. Heaps more to do yet but kn....... ermhh very tired already.

Good evening, it has been a lovely day today, went to the Clyde valley where OH bought lunch for me, had a look round 4 GAs but only bought a packet of lupin seeds,then when we came back home I had several tomato plants and light branches from my fruit trees to shred so it was easier to run over them with the lawnmower and they are now on the veg beds along with the stuff I had shredded when cutting the grass the other day. Best of luck with the final show for this year AP its a pitty that you are too far away for me to give you a hand after all you could be of an age where you need to rest a bit more and a young pair of hands is a tremendous help, well I wish you all a good day tomorrow and a goodnight from me

^That's a sympathy like, FF. Not very fond of rats either. We have a mouse in the house at the moment. Mr Snoop spotted it helping itself to one of the dog treats from their treat jar.

Rary, I'm starting to think your real name might be Dorian Gray. You seem to get younger by the day.

Anyway, heavy rain in the night. Not great for the newly formed embankment... Never mind. Could have been worse. Sunny at the moment, but rain forecast for later.

Spent another fortune on yet another pressure cooker. This will be the last one, promise. Never thought I'd love them quite so much. So, better get working to pay for it.

Ah Snoop age is just a frame of mind, and remember you are only as old as you feel so be sympathetic towards AP
A lovely day again subverting ready to go to greenhouse and empty the tomato bed as I am going to switch the soil over between it and the trombo bed, though I will be leaving the trombos for an other week or so as the night temperatures are to stay about 10c but if the tomato bed is empty I can start filling it with compost and seaweed, right need the o go as the work won't get done by its self

Afternoon all!
Busy this morning collecting all my squash and pumpkins, as the weather that's forecast doesn't look as if it will help with any further ripening They're now on the greenhouse racks to cure- a good harvest this year. Just a 2 left on the plants, nowhere near full size, they'll either live or die....
Picked a big bunch of dahlias and of the supposedly red sunflowers, that are actually yellow - but still cheerful in a vase

Had a lovely day in Perth at youngest grandchild's 5th birthday, he had a great day as did we all, only down side was the trampoline in the garden has broken and is beyond repair, frame rusty and snapped, but it was his big brothers and was older than he is. A bit of gardening at my daughters, they are not really gardeners, just tidying up and pinching a few pears to poach in either wine or cider.

A late evening all again . I'm ready for my show and not yet at the stage of asking old folks to bail me out . Worst thing about the show is it's held in a glass house and part of our objective is to be able to give the public advice on growing veg so we can't escape. I hope it's a rainy day not least because the folks in the park come inside when it's wet and loads of folks passing through shortens the day.

Cant believe the weather we're having!
We're in Yorkshire at the moment. Yesterday went to Creswell Craggs. Goooogle it. It was utterly incredible. We saw the only cave art so far found in Britain. And it in such a pretty place! Have you been there Flo? The caves are shut from October-march cos of roosting bats, but it's worth a visit just for a short walk/picnic.lovely little cafe and ice cream there too.

And yup...diet gone completely astray

^Creswell Crags look amazing. I've never even heard of them. Might have to work out how to get to visit them. Glad you're having a good time.

As for here, bright at the moment, but due to cloud over. No rain forecast. Got a busy day planned. Should be doable if I put my mind to it. Mr Snoop off out this morning (if I can drag him away from his new to him but extremely old amplifier).
