Morning its wet and windy here today Nicos we've been to Creswell Craggs you're right its a good place to visit, it can get busy in the week with school trips though.
We have dull and cool weather today with wet forecast for most of the coming week, hope everyone is ok in the yellow warning areas, we are on the top of a small hill so flooding is one problem we don't have, being blown away in a gale is more likely.
Slowly winding down the garden now, just the last of the French beans, a few tatties, leeks and celery left in. Carrots are ok in the ground, but I will lift the rest of the beet root today. Greenhouse will be ok for another week or two yet if the frosts stay away.
Yes, even our forecast was right for a change, couple of hefty downpours with some rumbles n all, sposed to get worse as the day goes on - so indoors stuff to do.
Painting? sewing? housework & ironing?
I'll have another cuppa, or 2, before making up my mind

A late evening all again . I'm ready for my show and not yet at the stage of asking old folks to bail me out . Worst thing about the show is it's held in a glass house and part of our objective is to be able to give the public advice on growing veg so we can't escape. I hope it's a rainy day not least because the folks in the park come inside when it's wet and loads of folks passing through shortens the day.
Well AP if your weather is anything like it is here you will have had your wish and it will be a short day, and you are quite right about not asking old folk to bail you out, but remember if I can I am more than willing to help you out z
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
Too dark out there to be able to say anything about the weather, except that it's cold. Bet it was even darker and chillier when you got up, FF.
Right, up dark and early as I've got a lot to get through this morning. So better get on with it. Catch you later. Have a good one, meanwhile. Kettle's on the go if you want to make yourselves a brew.
Morning all, I too was up at silly oclock. Will fade later for sure
Washings on, tea on the go still AND the diet starts AGAIN today.
My days, biscuits are the devils work
Have a great day folks
Morning all.
After getting my wrought iron fence and gate erected on Saturday with the help of my youngest Son, the concrete should be well and truly set by now so I can take the supports down and fabricate the post and latch which will fasten to he house wall.
I am trying to get all the outdoor work done before the weather turns.
Next job after this is to renew the lead flashing on on the kitchen roof extension, but that can wait until next week.
Take care and enjoy the sunshine, if you have any.
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Morning, nope no sign of sunshine here, it rained overnight and we currently have that mono grey, no sign of cloud formation, but it's due to rain some more. I have two heaps of shredding to do if it stays dry, if not the model railway may get some work done, laying grass fibres on wallpaper paste(I wouldn't ask unless you really want to know lol).
Afternoon all,Snadger,a finished pic would be good, only when you done the bit of fabricating,we got dry and warm here, painting has resumed, one thing for sure,if we still live here when it needs doing again, some B else can do it,it's draining having so many straight lines to make look good, either that or paper the ruddy walls again,so much easier,as you can slop the paint on,and the paper covers the overspill on the walls,MR has after all this time decided he CAN do sumat,he has taken himself down the shopping centre,on his very own trolly,in search of a car mag, just come back empty basket,i was really worried, but have to let him go,and are really proud of him, gawd it's like droping the first offspring of at playschool, have a good afternoon and Bgood2yrselves
