I've just been looking at the White Lagan Bothy on YouTube rary...has it changed much since you were there? I see it was renovated a while back. Stunning location!
Yes Nicos it is a great area and White Laggin is just one of several bothies in that area but sadly it can be accessed quite easily from a road, actually during the he program one gentleman mentioned a burnt out car and in the car were directions from a house in Glasgow to the bothy, when I was walking there was some misuse of the place but I think it has got worse, though when coming of the hills especially on a cold bleak winters day its great to see any of those bothies in any condition

Morning a frosty start it was 1.4c in my GH overnight not much warmer now at 1.9c but that's better than the rain. Looks like being a sunny day later so i'll be wrapped up and out and about.

Same here Bren, it looks lovely, doesn't it
I opened the door for Mollycat, she sniffed the cold and bolted back up the stairs lol
The garden Dahlias aren't frosted though, wonder if the allotment ones are? Good job I cut all the flowers off them yesterday
Have a good'un
Mornin n'alln'all
Frost and sunshine????...we just have lots of sploshy stuff....again
Nice one Burnie. They look so similar to loads of outhouses dotted around our surrounding fields. I'd love to own one just to renovate!!! My very own George Clarke's amazing spaces thingy!!!
Not sure what today will bring. Need to go to order the new flooring for the lounge whilst it's still on offer -maybe tomorrow.
Sewing and DIY methinks
Enjoy your day peeps!

Builder didn't come yesterday, but he did phone and he is here today with a sidekick. So that's a start. It's suspiciously quiet though...
Cloudy here now. Forecast for more of the same all day but no rain. Work on the cards for most of the day, but will try and make time for a bit of weeding (calots are overgrown) and to dig up what's left of the potatoes. Had a bit of a caterpillar slaughter this morning too. We've had no cabbage white all year till I went away. They've done quite a bit of damage in my absence...
Right, on with the day. Catch you later. Have a good one meanwhile.
Morning all, sure I just saw a polar bear pass by the window, don't think the sea will freeze round here, but I nearly did going down the garden, enjoy your day all.
Out of interest burnie -the friends we stayed with in Sweden (who live 40km south of the Arctic circle) said it looks like the snow is set in now for the winter -about a month earlier than usual.
So jest not about polar bears!

I've spent some time in the summerhouse with the heater on modelling a few bits of railway stuff, the only gardening done was to put some fleece over the carrots, lovely and sunny, so after lunch we may go for a walk or a short bike ride.
Good evening, had a good day in the garden and moved some raspberries into air pots which hopefully will contain them a bit better as they finish up popping up all over the garden, and talking of popping up I really need to check my posts as there are too many unwanted words popping up due to auto correct, just watching long tailed tits darting about, now down at the nuts so they will be off shortly nice to see them but they don't wait about once they eat, have a good evening Folks
