  • Good morning all.
    Another beautiful sunny morning.
Off to the market to see if there are any bargains.
After that we will play it by ear.
    Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Of course I'll have a look in the gardening bit, unless it all tinselled over already!
It was already tinsel, trees and sparkle everywhere
Drives me crazy, when I were a lass all the holiday shopping, and putting up the decs, was done just a few days before, not over the 2 months beforehand *grumble grumble*

      • Afternoon we've been out walking the autumn colours are starting to look pretty just now It soon turned chilly though before we left GH temp was a tropical 25c came home to 10c. Best to make the most of the weather while we can.

TS you can spot these who have made a start with cards or prezzies they usually have glitter somewhere on their faces.

        • It has actually turned out a nice day again today, but was busy with installing a security camera and lights for my daughter which shouldn't have been too bad but everything was above head height and I am now sitting here with aching shoulders right need to go and put something on for the boy's to eat they are starving they haven't had anything to eat ball day, well lunchtime when they had a school meal bottomless pits the both of them, and I have a cake here baked by their gran, for their mum, they have been warned if they touch it they are being put into the car and I will drive to Carlisle and give them a skelpin though putting a boy of 6ft 4 into a car could be a problem foods ready
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

          • The Rainbow trout season finishes tomorrow so I had a last ditch attempt to catch a rainbow on the waters I fish. The first fish I caught was a brown trout which was returned to the water as the season for browns finishes end of September.
I met a lovely Husky dog very like my own, who brought me luck. I caught a rainbow trout while he was there and he tried to grab it. His owner told me that if he had managed to grab it, he would never leave loose.
Enjoyable last day fishing this season with a number of fish lost and a couple caught.

My fishing gear permanently resides in the car during the season, so tomorrow I can give the car a good clean out.

What's a skelpin? Some sort of cake??

Its been very cold here today - don't like the cold much! Must have a rummage in my wardrobe for some "woollies" and I don't mean sheep, though nothing would surprise me.

VC , as far as I am aware, a skelpin is a good couple of slaps...I could be wrong....

A spanked backside, but to do that I would need to go over the border, as in Scotland we don't spank our children
Though as I said the older grandson is 6ft 4 the younger one is 5ft 8 so maybe I wouldn't bother but thankfully they didn't touch the cake anyway

If you come up here there's rainbow fisheries open all year, not that I bother with them.
