        • Evening all. Woke this morning to the sight of around another inch of snow on top of the original drop but very frosty again. We had to wait in for a delivery of heating oil so just scuttered about. Finished clearing my car ready to deliver it to the garage for its MOT, fed the birds, waited some more for the oil delivery (growl) had a cuppa then lunch then waited some more. Eventually it came so the waiting was over and we got my car to the garage while it was still daylight. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

          • Good evening all.
Didnt get as good a result as I hoped for from the eye specialist.
Back to see here at the end of March.
Just been seeing my grandson home and the car is white with frost already
Think we are in for a very cold night.ltake care and stay safe and warm all.

                Did ya miss me?

Still not fully unpacked but almost back to 'normal'!

Managed to follow a snow plough 60%of the way home once we got off the ferry....talk about good timing!

Needless to say Hibou sulked for a short while but we've made up ...she particulaly likes her bird which squeeks like a mouse and is filled with catnip.

Not had a chance to read back yet.
Hope everything is OK with everyone?

                Croissants anyone?

                  • Morning All

Certainly brass monkey weather currently -7.6° in the garden. Pointless visiting the plots as the ground will be like concrete. I am sure I will find something to entertain me

                    Stay warm and keep safe

                    • Mornings!
It's very cold here as well, -6C. I'm supposed to be doing a plot viewing, for a newbie, somehow I don't think they'll phone today.
I left my laptop doing 'essential' updates last night, because it was taking so long and when I got up it was still trying to do them *sulk* I've had to fiddle with it to get it working, so if I disappear you'll know I failed miserably. Technology is only good when it works grumble grumble...
                      Have a good'un

                      • Morning It's -4.6 here that's the coldest we've had for years, we get snow but usually not really low temps during winter. The garden spider webs do look pretty though.
Wrap up well if you're out and about.

                        • Welcome home, Nicos. Good luck, TS. Hope it works out.

Sorry to gloat: not so cold here this morning, though temps due to plunge again, so not getting my gardening hopes up yet. Bit more rain in the night.

Work calls. Oh, good news, seeds and potatoes from France on their way. And potentially bad news: message from courier that rhubarb delivered to front porch of house. Hope they didn't freeze in the night...

                          Have a great day, everyone.

                          • We have wall to wall blue skies, but snow is forecast for later, we don't usually get a lot on the coast, but SWMBO is off to Glasgow at the weekend to watch "Strictly" so I hope it's not too bad.

Looking forward to that as we havnt been together since Christmas.
Welcome back Nicos, yes you were missed.

Rhubarb roots don't usually mind being frozen, and more good news - despite the cold the newbie did view and has taken on the plot - site now full.
