        • Meant to say in my post earlier about getting the roots out, using a pick helped tremendously, its a fantastic implement, a pointed end for breaking stone a bladed end for cutting through roots and of course the shape allows you great leverage, we really do owe our forefathers a great debt.

We should give the older folk the respect they deserve, so sorry for anything I may have said VC

            • Morning, all good here.
Blueberry and lemon oat muffins are in the oven, cup of tea beside me and reading the vine. Fantastic.
Rary, I fell asleep during Shetland, good job I recorded it.
Window changing day at work. Always fun
Have a lovely day with a bit of sun maybe.

              • Goodness, NS. What time did you get up to have muffins already in the oven? I need some of your get-up-and-go today.

It's perishing cold here again, but bright blue skies. The solar panels and batteries confirm that the days are definitely getting longer and the sun is higher in the sky. Frost now dripping off the roof.

Desperately trying to get through paid work before going back to visit mum in UK. Now wishing I hadn't spent so long on the internet obsessing over cabbages!

                Have a good day, everyone.

                    • Mornings!

It's warmer here, but no sun, so nothing enticing me outside - I've been playing with my new slow-cooker instead. I hope it lasts as long as the 11 year old one, which died over the weekend, RIP friend

                      Have a good'un

                      • Good morning g all.
Mild and dry with 10degs but no sun.
Off out to the library for a nice walk.
                        Gardening later.
                        Have a good day all.

                          Really chuffed-it's made a heck of a difference .
Still tons and tones to do but it's the first real sense of achievement I've had gardening this year
(Don't talk about the state of my back though)

                            • Good afternoon Folks its been dull but mild today, had to go for some shopping this morning, and now with the boy's so no gardening today, NS what's recipe for your muffins my OH is always looking for something different to make for the coffee morning, while we were out I went into a charity shop and found an Iron Maiden l.p., so bought it for one of the G.S.s as he likes heavy metal music, I gave it to him when he came in from school, big mistake I should have waited till I was going away, my head s burstin with heavy metal music, and this l.p. had a poster with it so he had to get that up also, I had been looking for heavy metal los for a while and that's the first I have come across, when I hear the music I can understand, what happens to all the good music each to their own I suppose, right need to go daughter will be in shortly, so will then head to our sons till he comes home, I note a bit of a wind blowing so it will be a night sitting reading a book, keep safe and happy

                              • We have had a proper lazy day, it's grey and sort of grumpy looking day cool and windy, but we sat by the fire most of the day, it's been great.
