Good afternoon, dull but dry today and very mild, covered the cardboard with a mix of soil and old compost, will now let it settle for a couple of weeks, if I can wait that long, though being a married man I have had lots of practice of having to wait watching the boys just now but will try and get a bit of gardening work done tonight even if it's tidying up the greenhouse, naw maybe nothing as drastic as that yet, you start tidying up and some folk (OH) think you should do lots more

Sorry to hear about your car rary. Was it badly damaged?

The back bumper panel and end panel are damaged Nicos, have to head to East Kilbride on Saturday to get an estimate for the repair, this was supposed to be the car to last me into my old age but not so sure now as I said two bumps in 13 months and the car isn't 2 years old yet, fortunately there has been no structural damage with them, but will need to give it some consideration and talk to the bank manager, though possibly I should wait till she's in a good mood, now that could be several weeks, or months before that might happen I can't understand why she can be so crabbit at times when she has me

Evening all, really warm here today. switched power off to heated greenhouse and opened the doors of both. Chucked the shallots out of the unheated house as well. Power switched on again and doors closed just as it turned dark and shallots placed in cold frame. It's not spring yet but it's coming

Visited Daughter and she is on a real low, nothing we can do but listen is there?
Did come back with a large black sack of carp as I thought we would.
Will sort that out tomorrow.

Its been a sunshiny day (as ever) spent potting up my toms, cukes and courgettes, some of which are banished to the GH for the rest of their days. Hope they're not shivering as its only 7C at the mo. Nothing ventured and if they turn up their toes, there's plenty of time to sow them when normal gardeners do so.

9.15 in the morning g and its 13 degs....crazy weather.
Having mu grandson this morning so a long walk is on the cards.
Having a meetup of people who were born and lived in the same area where I grew up.
Looking forward to this as its many years ago since I last met any of these childhood friends.

Mornings!
Another miserable foggy/grey start to the day, I hope it clears quicker than it did yesterday.
Got a phone call yesterday with appointment for this afternoon - for assessment of my back. Wish me luck!
Can't get there by bus, luckily my daughter is off so she can take me. May have to have a wander round the garden centre after, if they haven't pulled me about too much

Morning all, we too have had a foggy start. Clearing a little, which is good as I’ve washing to dry
Bought some dahlia bulbs yesterday. Only small ones for the border maybe.
Probably might grow a few in tubs, being as it’s no spuds this year.

We're forecast 20 �C today. No idea what it was overnight as my max-min thermometer stopped working in the cold one night. Can't get the liquid to join back up, regardless of how much I shake it. Should probably buy another, as I always like knowing what's what.
