Morning all. Frost here too. Hard enough to form ice in standing water. Ah well, bright and sunny now.

Busy day of paid work here. So not very exciting. But there you go, needs must.

Mornings!
we had a chilly night, down to zero. but hazy sun now and 4C, hope it warms up a bit more - my friend is collecting me after physio and then we're gonna nose round the nearby garden centre and have coffee and cake

Tomorrows problem will be sorting out the fungus gnats in the seed trays on my heated bench. I really hate the little blighters.

I'd love to know what you do to get rid of them, got loads here this year as well grrr!

Going vets this morning with Rollo just for a check up. He is currently lay at the side of me snoring his little head off. I feel like I could just do the same.

No allotment for me today but I am going to go out and trim my bushes in the garden.

Evening,

Rollo he may need to have surgery on his back left leg. His knee cap keeps popping out and then back in again. I need to make a appointment next week with the orthopedic vets next week to discuss things. At the moment he is running around playing with his toys.

Good evening it has been a dry day, and managed a wee while in the garden, just a general tidy up but did plant some lilies that I had in pots around the flower beds, sawed up some wood then had to go and collect one of the boys as he was in a poetry competition, his dad was meeting us at the venue which was just as well as one of the other boys had to be picked up as he had to come home from school as he was ill, but did manage to get back into the garden once his mum was home, the thermostat for the cable that I have placed into the raised bed doesn't seem to be working its a digetal controller less than 2 years old and no lights on it so had to revert back to one I have had for several years (at least 18 years) had switched to the digital one to save having to drill holes in the wood have been looking for a replacement for it but Rod thermostats are few and far between, just hope the old one is still OK, possibly getting a lesson of life, the old ones are still the best (wouldn't you agree VC) and no it's not favoritism VC must be the oldest on the Vine Have to go tablet running out of power, evedently can't keep going like me. Goodnight

Of course I agree with you rary, the 18 year old one is about the same age as I am.
Shame you've run out of power, you need to take more tablets.

More of yesterday. Hard frost but now sunny.
More paid work. The only positive thing to say about that is that the bank manager will be pleased.

Morning everyone, not such a nice morning as yesterday was
Lawn mower died totally yesterday, so we will be purchasing a new one later today.
Hubby just wants the same one again.
Work all day today, cooked a nice gammon joint yesterday, so tea is sorted out. Oh, and the rest of the week by the looks of it. Goes a long way does gammon

Delivering posters and leaflets and a bit of food shopping is the order of the day for me.
Trying to eat out of the freezer as much as poss, so it's just basics and bargains to buy.(that's one of reasons they got so full in the first place!)

Gammon sounds lovely NS!... not had any for ages mmm....
I'm sure I have a small one in the freezer we didn't use at Xmas...hmmmm....

Not nearly as nice as yesterday, it's a lot more cloudy.
I've still got twitchy legs after yesterday's acupuncture (and trip to garden centre afterwards) but I do need to pot up the pack of dark red dahlias I bought

I like gammon there's lot of ways to eat it we had it the other day with cauliflower cheese.
