Afternoon all. Usual Tuesday shopping for the old folks done and home at a decent time of day. Aren't the days stretching?
Was frosty here first thing and it was a scrape the windscreen job again. As I did my stuff a gritter went up past with it's spinner spinning but nothing coming out. I growled under my breath at that thought but within 5 minutes another one came along throwing out salt/grit at a great rate. Sorely needed as the road was like a bottle. Car going into the garage for its MOT on Thursday so tomorrows job will be emptying it. big job as my boot is a mobile store

Mornings,
No snow or frost (despite the forecast and warnings
) as it is stayed just above freezing. Domestics for me today and allotment AGM this evening, as long as forecast snow doesn't turn up

Morning, all.
Clear skies at the moment and a bit chilly, but no frost due to rain (7 mm/litres per square metre). That'll get the weeds growing...
Ordered six assorted rhubarb crowns yesterday. Seeing as a friend here keeps going on about me growing rhubarb and offered to bring some crowns over for me, and seeing as how it'll be a miracle if even one survives the conditions here, it doesn't seem like too many. Just a waste of money, maybe. If one does survive, though, I'll regard it as a good investment.
On the cards today we have billing (top priority), then assorted bits of work. Then just enough work to keep me ticking over gently till I go back to see my mum mid-February, while giving me plenty of gardening time. Life looks like it's going to be good for the next couple of weeks.

Im worrying about my worms. They are in the polytunnel with the bins stacked and full watering cans beside and a cloche on top. I am so tempted to bring them into the house but the family might be unreasonable about that!Comment

Good afternoon, cold but sunny just now, woke up to three inches of snow and when we he grandsons came n the youngest one wanted to make a snowman so after he had his breakfast we were out the back to give it a try but not good snow for that as it doesn't hold together, so I gave him a snow shovel and I now have a pile of snow in the middle of the grass which will take quite a time for it to shift, but he enjoyed it and no I didn't it was freezingit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
