  • Day got hijacked. Didn't make stir fry for lunch and haven't made Scotch pancakes. Have made two humdinger loaves of bread. I seem to have got the hang of it all of a sudden.

Picked up the latest old jalopy to be given a home here. Mr Snoop very pleased as it's an ancient, primitive beast. Wind-up windows, no central locking. He reckons he'll be able to fix just about anything on it. Except maybe the radio, which has a mind of its own.

Hope you all had a lovely Sunday.

    • Good evening, most of the snow is away but we have heavy rain instead, after church we(OH) decided not to go out as it wasn't that pleasant a day, so was getting changed when the door bell went, and in came our S. I. L. he was down to use the printer, so got changed with the intention of going out to the greenhouse after lunch asked S. I. L. if he wanted anything but no, just getting lunch ready when the bell went again OH went to see who it was but no one there and while she was looking to see who was about our two youngest g.sons came in the back door, their dad was walking along the street with his dog and the two scaliwags had run on to trick us, they didn't want any lunch but did take a couple of biscuits, their father was a different matter I went to get him something and when I came back he was busy making a lunch for himself, do other Grapes have the same problem when both him or his sister come in their first stop is the fridge to see what we have, that they would like the boys went out the back to play and finished up playing football with a lump of ice out of a bucket after a wee while the youngest came in wanting to ask me a question, Would it be all right if they broke up the lump of ice, to which I said no problem, that's good, he said we've broke it, once everyone was away I went out to the greenhouse and transplanted, cabbage, tomatoes and peppers, just hope they survive if the severe cold comes back. Enjoy your week and to the ladies wanting to make the pancakes for shrove Tuesday, you now have plenty of time to practice getting them right Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

      • After a day in Perth in the snow, it's got colder the further east we went, -3 here and some more snow forecast, probably mostly on the hills, so hopefully the roads will be open again so I can go and takes some wildlife pictures(the road from Braemar to Glen Shee was blocked with snow)

          • Morning Flon'all

Just made a brew....and thinking up my shopping list. Not needing much as we are eating our own produce but I could do with more milk and maybe some clementines and mushrooms. Then it's a hunt for Chinese food!
Tis Chinese New Year tomorrow so I'd like to enter into the spirit
Tis very, very difficult to find Chinese food here. Some Vietnamese products ....L!dl surprisingly seems to have the most choice.

No rain here yet Flo but it's due any second.
Deffo an ironing day today...I managed to distract myself yesterday...at least the kitchen looks tidy!!!,

            • Funnily enough....I was just thinking that I maybe made a slight mistake in the UK.
I bought this gift for Hibou

Backyard Bird Cat Toy | Pets At Home

It's got catnip, feathers and a squeak which works with movement.
She adores it and keeps bringing it to us as a tasty morsel for us to eat once she's sure she's killed it.
Thing is......she used to try and wake us in the mornings by knocking things off bedside tables and walking over us until we fed her and let her out.
Within the week of receiving it she's worked out if she throws it around the bedroom enough it does a better job of waking us up

                • Mornings!
Nicos, it's the lighter mornings stirring the cats up again. Molly has started head-butting me to get me up, she got a few choice words in reply.
Wet and blustery this morning but I have to go into town for the bank, going to get a soaking, I think

                          • I'm with Burnie on the perky front. All kinds of jobs done so far and not a one of them work or gardening. But good to get them done. Mr Snoop's car is back from the mechanic's. Nothing fundamentally wrong with it, apparently, apart from the 750 euro work that had to be done. So we'll take that as good news.

Blue skies for the next couple of days. So, time to get some work out the way and gardening time in the afternoons for the next few days at least. Brilliant.

                            Have a great afternoon, everyone.

                            • Good day, its the same here Burnie all the snow has gone even of the hills, was out for a walk earlier and felt it very cold and my leg was sore but when came back towards the house I could see OH busy doing some housework, unfortunately my neighbour whom I was walking with couldn't go back out,his wife caught him before we could turn around so when I was back at the house i had to go and start to put a lot of bamboo into the council recycle bin, once finished went in the house and OH told me my coffee would be cold as she had made it when she saw me coming home she well better a cold coffee than doing housework
And any way housework must be easy as a housewife usually does it
